Jatyadi Tel is one of the older preparations in Ayurvedic practice, and one of the most frequently asked about at PiloMed. This guide covers what the pack contains, what the ingredients are, how the oil is applied, and — just as important — the situations where an oil is not the right answer at all.

What comes in the pack
One PiloMed pack of Jatyadi Tel holds two 100 ml bottles, so 200 ml in total, at ₹340 for the pack. That works out to ₹170 per bottle. The product is manufactured in India by Amritalaya Herbs and Nutraceuticals Pvt. Ltd. and packed by Mihiransh Health Care.
It is classified under HSN 30049011 and carries 5% GST, which is the rate that appears on your invoice.
The six herbs on the label
Jatyadi Tel is a classical formulation, which means the recipe is old and the ingredient list is fixed rather than invented by a brand. The six herbs listed for this product are:
- Jatiputra (Nutmeg)
- Nimba (Neem)
- Patol (Trichosanthes dioica)
- Karanja
- Yashtimadhu (Licorice)
- Manjishtha
Neem and Karanja appear in a great many traditional external preparations. Yashtimadhu, better known as licorice, is one of the most widely used herbs in Ayurveda. Manjishtha is traditionally associated with skin preparations. None of this is a claim about what the oil will do for you — it is simply what the pack contains, and you are entitled to know it before you buy.
How the oil is applied
Jatyadi Tel is for external use only. It is not swallowed, and it is not a supplement.
The directions supplied with the product are short:
- Clean the area and dry it properly before applying.
- Apply as directed on the product label and by your treating clinician.
- Close the cap tightly after use.
The second point carries the most weight. A label prints general directions; a clinician who has actually examined you can tell you how much, how often and for how long — and whether an oil is appropriate for your situation in the first place.
Storing it
Store the bottle in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Keep the cap closed tightly between uses. Oils left open or kept somewhere warm do not last as well.
The safety notes that matter
These come from the product information, and they are worth reading slowly:
- For external use only. Do not swallow it.
- Avoid contact with the eyes and the inner mouth or nose.
- It is not a substitute for medical treatment of piles, fissure, fistula or a wound.
- Consult a doctor before use if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or using it for a child.
- Stop use and consult a doctor if irritation or a reaction develops.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Results vary from person to person.
When an oil is not the answer
This is the part most product pages skip, so we will be direct about it.
Go and see a doctor, rather than reaching for any external preparation, if you have:
- Bleeding that is heavy, or that keeps coming back
- Severe pain rather than discomfort
- Fever alongside the symptoms
- A wound that is not improving, or is getting worse
- Any symptom that has been going on for weeks without change
None of those are situations where you should be experimenting at home. An Ayurvedic oil is a supportive product within a routine — it is not a diagnosis, and it does not replace one.
Buying it from PiloMed
Jatyadi Tel is available in a pack of two bottles at ₹340, with cash on delivery available across India and free delivery on orders of ₹499 or more. It is also sold in a combination pack with Gasansh Churan if you want both.
Every PiloMed product page lists the full ingredient list, the directions, the warnings and the answers to the questions customers ask most. If something is still unclear, write to care@pilomed.com or call +91 92199 36641 — we would far rather answer a question than have you guess.
